Wash cucumbers thoroughly and slice into quarter-inch thick rounds
Pat cucumber slices dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture
Arrange cucumber slices on prepared baking sheet in a single layer
Top each cucumber slice with a small handful of shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Bake for 12-15 minutes until cheese is melted and edges are golden brown
