Keeping Passwords Safe with Vault
Clevada Vault is an encrypted password manager built into your account. Your data is encrypted client-side before it ever leaves your browser - Clevada cannot read your vault contents.
Setting up Vault
The first time you open Vault, you will be asked to create a Master Key. This is a strong passphrase that encrypts all your vault data.
Important: Your Master Key is never stored on Clevada's servers. If you lose it, your vault data cannot be recovered. Store it somewhere safe.
Adding items
Click + New Item to add:
- Login - website, username, and password
- Secure note - any private text
- Card - credit or debit card details
All fields are encrypted using your Master Key before being saved.
Unlocking Vault
Your vault locks automatically after a period of inactivity. Re-enter your Master Key to unlock it. The session timeout can be adjusted in Vault settings.
Changing your Master Key
Go to Vault > Settings > Change Master Key. You will need to enter your current key first. All items will be re-encrypted with the new key.
Team Vault (Workspace)
In addition to your personal Vault, Workspace includes a Team Vault for sharing credentials securely with team members. Team Vault uses separate encryption and role-based access control.
